The North Mock Trial team has concluded its season with another solid performance. The Knights extended their impressive string of solid performances at the State Mock Trial Championship by placing 5th out of over 85 teams across Missouri. Team members competing at State were sophomores Sophia Johnson, Barret Nussbaum, and Sam Ryan; juniors Jasmine Dong, Alex Ingrassia, and Regan Griffin; and seniors Rayna Aathreya, Prakul Bhattarai, Riley Jensen, and Vanessa Ng.

19 teacher leaders representing 14 FHSD schools are part of the Teacher Leadership Academy cohort. They shadowed colleagues in different roles to better understand all the moving parts in their school. They also heard from panelists about their leadership journeys. #onehowell

Huge shoutout to our Bella Voices Choir on an amazing trip and performance at the SWACDA Conference in Albuquerque, New Mexico! 🎶 They represented our school and community in a fantastic way and delivered an outstanding performance. What a wonderful experience and opportunity to showcase their talent. Great job!

Special congratulations to the Speech and Debate team members for their dominating performance this weekend at the MSHSAA District Tournament at Clayton High School. Eleven different team members qualified for the State Tournament next month in Springfield, with three Knights qualifying in two events, two qualifying in three events, and Vanessa Ng qualifying in four events! Advancing to State were: Rea Rushing and Barret Nussbaum in Extemporaneous Speaking, Sophia Johnson and Oliver Adkisson in Duet Acting, Dunyah Almuttan in Oratory, Daiyan Hassan in Lincoln-Douglas Debate and Extemporaneous Speaking, Jasmine Dong in Dramatic Interp and in Duet Acting with her partner Regan Griffin, who also qualified in Extemp Speaking, and Vanessa Ng in Radio Speaking, Humorous Interp, and in Public Forum debate with her partner Prakul Bhattarai. Special recognition goes to these 6 team members, who were all tournament champions with 3 first-place ballots in the final round: Alex Ingrassia and Prakul Bhattarai in Duet Acting; Jasmine Dong and Regan Griffin in Duo Interp; Dunyah Almuttan in Prose Reading; and Vanessa Ng in Original Oratory. The capper at the tournament came when the Knights captured first place in overall speech sweepstakes ahead of all participating schools

Snowcoming Pep Assembly on Friday was a great event! Huge shoutout to Mrs. Pugh and Mrs. Gallagher for putting together such a fun and memorable assembly. You two are amazing! Also, congratulations to Kim Coil on being honored with the Howell of Fame Award. It’s a great time to be a Knight!
