#MilamBookReports Great book on a great topic. I'd throw color out there as an alternative to cooking for a theme based course. Connections to structure, bonding, quantum, organic, biochem, food chem, and more all with a variety of concrete experiences/phenomena.

Bc my class might just (and has before) spark a passion for chem. Last month I watched a former student earn her doc in Chem engineering, and I had to lay that foundation

@MaryanneCooks @johannabrown I think we need to keep a balanced perspective. The majority of my kids will never take another Chem class after high school.so yes my purpose for them, like @johannabrown is to teach them scientific thought and how to learn. But I must keep in mind that some will.
