@ThomasSton83439 Well, I've done the research and it looks like there are a few good options on a slight meandering route to Lille and on the outskirts of Lille, including an obligatory stop at the out of town hypermarche. Now, it's a matter of getting over there as cheaply as poss.

@Sheracing I can't drink wine anymore. I do miss it. How did you get on?

Contemplating a wine grab/possible overnight stay in La Belle France (northern). The Calais wine stores proved disappointing last time round, so wondering if anyone had any recommendations apart from hitting up the supermarkets.

@Sheracing Ah head further south, if you can do Portsmouth to Caen ferry then drive SE. Didn't do many as always driving here lol. Plenty of good shops selling wine in cities etc too.

@Sheracing @RacingPost @RacingTV @AtTheRaces Summerghand died in January 2025 after being retired to the British Racing School. Reports from racing connections said he had initially settled well into retraining after retirement, but later developed complications from colic and had to be put down 😢#summerghand
