Woman into horse racing and sports, burdened by the need to quip. Used to do legal/publishing stuff. 80s music. Thinkers welcome.

@OwenHalyy Surely his future lies over fences - The Kingmaker at Warwick's got his name written all over it!

@WG_RumblePants Ellerslie CC, Auckland. Perhaps not quite as picturesque as your usual postings, Rumbles, but I like this one as I used to live over the road from it, my brother played for the club for years, and so did none other than The Destroyer himself, Devon Malcolm.

I’m always on the lookout for beautiful cricket grounds that may have flown under my radar. So, if you have any recommendations of attractive or unique grounds, I’d be pleased to hear from you! Is there one that springs to mind?

@jamesaknight In the same way that Stoute used to criticise Walter Swinburn for winning by too far and using up Shergar? Possibly technically correct, but as others have said, abiding memories aren't built upon such things, and I think we'd rather have the memory.

Visited Ludlow Races for the first time today to chalk another track off my list. Didn’t have much luck on the betting front but still really enjoyed it. Being able to get so close to water jump is pretty neat. Cracking setting and a great bar. Would return.

We had some cracking questions this week, including this one from Simon Cohen, @SimonCohen14 "Why don't many people with darker coloured skin go to Cheltenham (racing in general) ? Wildly under- represented."

A mummy covered in chocolate and nuts has been discovered in Egypt. Archaeologists believe it could be Pharaoh Rocher.

March 16th Monday, and no jump racing anywhere else in England other than #Plumpton Sussex, one of our courses furthest south. Must take some planning ? Still very convenient if you live in France and fancy a day trip to enjoy a bit of NH. Come Racing.

I'm a simple woman and play by simple rules. King Rasko Grey really should be grey.

@ObserverUK What a load of overwrought old toot. Comparing a 'fractured' grandstand (60k plus people all getting excited - how terrible) with the disintegration of society smacks of the overly-clever, vanish-up-your-own-hole scribbling of a desperate A-Level English student. Grow up.

Cheltenham festival is a reflection of Britain as a fractured isle. A day out to the Gloucestershire racetrack is like an episode of The Only Way is Essex, populated by people who believe they would star in an episode of Peaky Blinders.
