The crimes occurred in San Miguel County. No information about the victims will be released by the Sheriff’s Office.

Telluride Child Sex Offender sentenced/ Raef Cayden Buttars, a 20-year-old Telluride resident, was sentenced Monday to four years in the Colorado Department of Corrections after pleading guilty to the following charges:

Jesus Damian Nieblas has been transferred to the Montrose County Jail and is awaiting further judicial proceedings. Nieblas, a former San Miguel County Sheriff’s Deputy, is charged with 28 felony counts of “sexual exploitation of a child,” as well as 27 related misdemeanors.

Swift Water Rescue: just before 11pm last night (Wednesday), a vehicle went off Highway 145 mm 72 at the top of Keystone Hill in Telluride, traveled approximately 350 feet down an embankment, and ultimately landed on its side in the San Miguel River.
