We use Jack Hartmann youtube videos and GoNoodle to learn by dancing and singing. The students love earning points and unlocking items on GoNoodle. @DrEddiesClass #CSUBTEd

Providing Chromebooks and hot spots is a great first step, but what is difficult is being able to provide high-speed internet (e.g., being able to stay connected in zoom and not get a poor connection or unstable internet notification). #CSUBTed @DrEddiesClass

This school year many schools provided hotspots for the students who didn't have access to internet, and provided a chromebook for each student to take home. @Duncannedd #CSUBTEd

Also, there are some schools that require certain qualifications in order to receive free hot spots or discounted internet. #CSUBTEd @DrEddiesClass

Google education is great because it allows students to continue to work offline. #CSUBTEd @DrEddiesClass

@tom_karnes @aavina33 A2: A program that will benefit ELL'S is @Flipgrid . This app allows students to speak, listen and collaborate with each other even in a virtual setting. I use it during read aloud discussions and students collaborate with all the language elements @DrEddiesClass #CSUBTEd

@tom_karnes @aavina33 A2) I think grammarly will be beneficial for ELLs! It helps them with writing and it allows to see correct ways to put together sentences. I use it myself too! #CSUBTEd @DrEddiesClass

Social media is so huge in this generation that parents and students are most likely familiar with how to use and how social media works. There are many apps and programs such as twitter that can help inform both parents and students know what is going on in the classroom. #CSUBTEd @Duncannedd

On zoom, you get to see students' and parents' faces, which I feel is better than speaking over the phone or emailing. My son's teacher just recently held a lunch over zoom as an incentive. It gave students the opportunity to talk with her and their peers about things other than school. #CSUBTEd @DrEddiesClass
