A major government hospital serving thousands of people in North Goa was left struggling without proper electricity, affecting lifts, lighting systems, and essential medical equipment. Patients, senior citizens, doctors, nurses, hospital staff, and visitors were forced to suffer because the government failed to ensure uninterrupted power supply to a critical healthcare institution. While the @BJP4Goa Government continues to spend enormous energy on publicity and self-promotion, the most basic responsibilities of governance are collapsing. A district hospital remaining virtually paralysed for hours raises serious concerns about the preparedness of both the Health and Power Departments, as well as the failure of emergency backup systems. If the government cannot guarantee electricity to a hospital, how can people trust it to protect lives and ensure public welfare? This incident completely exposes the hollow claims of “good governance” repeatedly promoted by the BJP leadership. The government has become disconnected from the struggles of ordinary citizens, and today’s blackout is yet another example of incompetence, poor planning, and total lack of accountability. An immediate inquiry must be conducted into the cause of the outage, responsibility must be fixed on the officials concerned, and urgent corrective measures must be taken to ensure that no hospital in Goa ever faces such a dangerous situation again. Healthcare cannot be compromised because of government inefficiency.
