Arrived to my office to a thank you cake. I won't say what it's for because it would be indiscreet but it cheered me.

We owe it to them: all our female ancestors who were denied that democratic right. Patriarchal forces still attempt to hold us back by pushing apathy, telling us that “politicians are all the same”. They’re not - and you have the right to choose, to vote from the heart, for our future, for all our children - and to make your voice and your vote count.

I have to praise the nhs systems in Brighton today after my 999 call (hubby showing heart attack symptoms) ambulance arrived in 4 mins…. Sussex Hospital A&E was brilliant despite 41 patients where 25 is the maximum! Hubby was fast tracked for all assessments….

Escape to the Country, series 24, episode 44. Hampshire/Berkshire. Mo, a single woman, wants to move nearer her sister. 2 beds minimum for 600,000. 😲 House 1. Too small for table to seat 14 at Christmas. Mo doesn't cook.🙄 House 2. Upstairs too small, 20ft long living room too small, kitchen too small. Mo still doesn't cook. 🙄 House 3. Perfect in every way. Loves it, loves it, loves it. 😍 Mo will go home, speak to an estate agent and put her house on the market. Mo is 'hopeful'. Or, as I'd prefer to call her, a time waster. 🙄

I’ve got anaemia apparently, so my GP at 9am organised multiple in house/poly clinic tests chest x ray bloods poo wee etc it was all sorted and sent off by 11.30am #nhs efficiency in #Hove quite impressed actually. GP says he’ll will phone me Friday….he says it’s a fishing net.

I’m sitting with my mum for the third time in 24 hours. The care home said she’s gone down rapidly. She’s had advanced dementia for 12 years. She is 94 yrs… am I wrong to hope she doesn’t pull through 🥲🥲 @alzheimerssoc #Alzheimers
