Power-Play Simulation x Pass-Out Reads Working through a 3-sequence drill that forces the goalie to read, stay patient, and stay on their feet as long as possible: 1️⃣ Pass-Out — Strong positioning on the post, get square early. Your feet must come to a complete stop & no drifting forward. Think of a car at a stop sign: STOP 🛑. 2️⃣ Block the Pass Through the Crease — Active stick. Eliminate the seam and take away the scoring chance before it even develops. 3️⃣ Back-Door Pass — Hold your edges and beat the pass with patience and timing. Slide toward the post with full awareness of the back-door threat. 4️⃣ (Optional) Goal-line attack. Don’t cheat on the pass. Stay patient and trust your positioning. This drill pushes goalies to make smart reads, stay composed, and build strong power-play habits. In the finals alone, he posted a .940 SV% (223 saves on 237 shots) and a 2.00 GAA across 7 games. Calm under pressure. Clutch when it mattered most. And if that wasn’t enough?
