If you think about it, the American dub is like watching a movie through tiktoks and loud af music.
NO silence, NO emotions other than hype 24/7, and it was designed for the short attention spans of American children

@ShiftShido It really is overplayed in Adventure, got better in 02. They don't mix in new songs until the Dark Masters, and have awkward cutoffs for it during fights. I'm very fine with the dub mixing up songs/music, and Digimon is fitting for personalities and one liners.

Japan and the United States have been in a codependent relationship with their respective cultures since the 60s. The way weebs play ignorant and act like all Japanese art is made in a vacuum and has no consideration in its creation that thinks about how it would sell.

@DaCheesyAlfredo Imagine calling fucking Brave Heart overplayed when the dub's replacement is literally everywhere across three seasons and probably more because I don't watch that shit. Do you really think that cheesy one liners and dialogue literally made only to fill in silence is better?

@ShiftShido This is Japan's version of hype, and not always as insightful. Long streaks of nothing dialogue (repeating each other's name), carried by overplaying song (Brave Heart) to sell the CD. There's usually more foley sounds in dub to compensate, you hear the background more.
