Yea, I was likely wrong. At least for sure wrong on the severity (ACL torn or not) We see plenty of MRI scans where the radiologist says there’s an ACl sprain because they saw some subtle signal in the ligament. So then it depends on their exam, instability etc. if you suspected ACL from your exam then yes, the sprain finding matters. If you had zero concern and the ACL felt stable, then you can often ignore the mri subtleties
