今週開催される脳神経外科コングレスは全て招待演者で構成される学会です。プログラム冊子を見ているとほとんどの人が履歴書通りの所属の移り変わりしか書いておらず、どんな仕事してきたかを書いた私が変なのかと思ってたら、Xで有名な埼玉の先生も似たような略歴の書き方で安心しました。

個人的には、真面目な人ほど関連文献を丁寧に拾おうとして、結果的に参考文献数が増える傾向はあると感じます。一方で、文献数そのものよりも「適切に網羅されているか」「最新か」「議論に必要十分か」が重要で、単純に多い/少ないで質は決まらないとも思います。とはいえ、参考文献が極端に少ない場合（例えば20本未満など）は、レビューの網羅性にやや不安を感じることもあります（あくまで個人的な印象ですが…）。
