Indeed, great damage was done today to the public’s faith in the American legal system.
If a former President can be criminally convicted over such a trivial matter – motivated by politics, rather than justice – then anyone is at risk of a similar fate.
Geiger Capital@Geiger_Capital
The first felony conviction of a former US President wasn’t for the Iraq or Afghanistan wars, illegal CIA coups, drone striking weddings, or spying on Americans… It was because Trump misclassified a $130,000 payment for a porn star’s NDA. Tells you everything you need to know.
English

Okay Donald, just because you say it doesn’t make it so.

@SaltyEMNY They sent mine home without the instructions or telling me where to find the off switch!

@RobLaurensonD4P Righto, I’m going to quit my job in Australia, pop across the pond, and set myself up as a PA. I’m gonna make more money and not have to deal with registration and regulations.

Imagine this replicated on a national scale.
Thank goodness for the 51%.

St George’s leadership in a 2022 Trust Board meeting highlighted the so-titled ‘Strategic Objective’ to ensure Consultant job plans were redesigned to enforce the PA agenda. Consultants weren’t consulted. We need Consultants to refuse this. It can’t continue if you say no. ❌

@RichaaaaSingh The reality of a lot of doctors….. probably why some of us developed some unhealthy coping mechanisms.
My impressive caffeine intake actually won me an award at the end of year dinner when I was an intern. 🤦♀️

I have worked 70-80 hours a week in my early 20s and let me tell you how I felt:
- No personal life during week days
- High work anxiety
- Declining mental and physical health
- No time for self-care
- Eagerly waiting for weekends
- No time for hobbies
- Burnout and Frustration at its peak
So not sure about others, but asking to work 14 hrs/day in a corporate job is a bad idea.
Whosoever might be advocating for it, my personal experience says it isn’t sustainable.
What are your thoughts on this?
English

@drPLeach @DrMukeshH Don’t forget the other nasties making their way around at the moment. I’ve seen a couple RSVs and a pertussis case recently.
If you have a cough, do the rest of us a favour and wear a mask
Or we’re all going to end wearing one again

@sewistwrites Wait until they can undo the seatbelts themselves!
My mother tells this story of driving along a busy road with two little arms suddenly reaching around her from behind and “I love you Mummy”. I’d undone my belt.
Always laughed until I had my own child, now I’m horrified.

Tell me again why do we even have a legal system? So some men can use it to continue to abuse women and children?

@Joyfulaboutboys @HouseOfWuReborn @EdKrassen I have an autistic child and we both thought it was hilarious

@HouseOfWuReborn @EdKrassen I have an autistic grandson. Your comment is not funny.

If you are believing the conspiracy theorists who are now trying to claim that no Amish children are diagnosed with cancer, autism or diabetes, because they are all unvaccinated, then you are falling for an anecdotal study trap and misinformation.
Fact is there are Amish kids who are diagnosed with these things.
Only 14% of Amish parents completely opt their children out of getting vaccinated, according to a 2011 study.
There are many documented cases of cancer in Amish children including the fact that the Amish have unusually high rates of juvenile leukemia according to a 30+ year old study.
Additionally we have to keep in mind that the Amish lead lives that are much more clean, physical, and away from electronics than compared to other Americans.
Just because a group of people may see less of a certain type of disease than other groups, that doesn't automatically mean it's because they are unvaccinated (which they generally are not).
It's like saying Amish people don't get autism as much because they don't drive cars and instead ride horse and buggies. No scientist would conclude that horse farts are preventing autism and cancer, right? Real science matters.

@DisabledDoctor A teacher in primary school taught me this trick - when you read your work aloud, and you make a “natural pause”, that’s where your comma belongs.
Only problem is working out the “natural pause”.

@Mr_Armageddon1 @QandA Do tell me where I can earn this mythical $1500 a day. Also, I must tell our practice manager to stop buying consumables like syringes, dressing packs, suture material and the like since all we need is my opinion to magically fix everything that comes through the door.
English

@ShipleyDr @QandA I know this because many earn $1500 per day and consume no materials. Their product is their own opinion, which costs nothing to provide. The premises might cost something but the mortgage typically reduces, not increases, and not by 10% every year like their fees do. That's how.

Pharmacy owner Joseph Amerena says if 60-day script changes go ahead, he'd have to close his pharmacy on weekends and his patients would be worse off. Watch the full program on iview here: ab.co/3apFwfn | #QandA

@elonmusk I see it takes up less room on your phone than than the pornhub app Elon
English

@GongGasGirl Why the hell not? Although working in general practice I can tell you it must be absolute shit in the NHS if working in GP here is better. I’m wondering how I’m going to pay the mortgage AND feed the kid this month….. I could stop bulk billing but then I get labeled “greedy”.
English

@ShipleyDr @QandA Most GPs can afford to bulk bill, they choose not to because its more profitable. The reality with GPs is the cost of them doing business doesn't change much. Their opinions don't cost them anything, so charging more for it is just increasing their salary.
English

@Mr_Armageddon1 @QandA Like it or not a pharmacy is a business. They have to pay overheads and have sufficient income to make a living.
Just like most GPs can no longer afford to bulk bill, pharmacies need to consider how their business will be affected because it needs to remain cost effective.
English

@QandA Pharmacists opposing this change are proving they got into healthcare for the money, not to help anyone. Makes feeling sorry for them impossible. Maybe instead of owning many and employing a pharmacist, it could go back to being the pharmacist is the owner and that's it.
English

@BindiIrwin It’s a sad fact that the average time from onset of symptoms to diagnosis for Australian women is about 7 years.
Seven bloody years!
I doubt many blokes would tolerate that level of pain.
Menstrual pain can be unpleasant, but should NEVER be severe
