Does anyone have a good explanation to why the em dash (—) is rendered out so much by LLMs The explanation is always that it's in the training data a lot. I don't think that's true at all. And why is it so hard to get LLM's to stop using them?

@wmata @Despair2077 @wmata very poor customer communication regarding whether you expected trains to restart. Off boarded, given no information for 30+ minutes (with confusing information on screens suggesting imminent train possible), then operator suggested we take the bus (another 15 min wait).
