pretty wild to read a bunch of masters+ players talk about how bad matchmaking feels 72 hours after we stopped using a bunch of historical data references that underpinned skill evaluation in apex, then scroll down and read someone argue that we should’ve done that for all ranks.

@LostGirlinnit I mean you woke up so honestly you are probably fine but if you are still worried doesn't hurt to speak to a doctor. Concussions can be a long thing and if it was one repeat head injuries get more and more dangerous. Also maybe look into some padding for your roof xD

Okay for those who missed stream last night: I banged my head on my ceiling slope (directly above my setup) and I thought I was okay? I struggled sleeping last night because I had pain in the back and base of my skull. This morning I have stumbled over words that has caused my coworkers to think I have done some damage? I'm not feeling sick. I'm a little fuzzy in my head but I also can't really say that it isn't a lack of sleep? Or my anemia? I'm reacting to light normally too. Am I injured badly or just losing it...?

@RedclawDraws Alot of people live the game so their passionate opinions start flying and not in the best voiced ways. Between gate keepers and elitists it's tiring. I have my ops on xiv and not a single one has to do with how others enjoy the game. xD

I think another reason why ngl I've been kinda just decompressing by spending my free time in WoW is that the FFXIV discourse I've been seeing on my feed has just been so depressing lately. We got a new expansion that just got announced, & everyone's just fighting with eachother

This might be a take that's gonna get me flamed, but I really, truly think that people 18 or under shouldn't be allowed on social media. We live in an era where socials have become more dangerous, not just for minors, but for us adults too. And safe spaces for minors on the internet are becoming fewer and fewer each day it seems. I seriously think it'd be better if children just weren't allowed to be on these platforms at all. Except maybe TikTok, but still...

I completely agree with the public thing and if something is going to be aimed towards children it needs to be vetted and deemed safe. But I dont agree with the “witch hunting teenagers” statement. None of us 18+ streamers are witch-hunting children/teenagers. If a teen think they are “mature enough” to be in an 18+ space then they need to be mature enough to follow community rules and not come into a space that they should not be in yet. And yes, at the end of the day parents need to parent. It’s not our job to do it for them.

Yea. This is VERY hot and wrong because this would ACTIVELY open up spaces for children to be more accessible to grooming. Also, adults should not have to censor themselves or have to parent children in their own space. I’m an 18+ streamer, a lewdtuber, a SWer, and I’m just a horny gremlin in general. I would NEVER want any child to watch me or my content. I don’t let my own children or my little siblings watch me. I don’t collab with people who aren’t 18+ streamers either if I’m streaming with them. Yes there are places for children on the internet but in a space like this, is NOT one of them.

This is kinda like saying, "more movies should be family friendly". I don't see it as a "hot take". It's a fair opinion that should come down to individual creators and their audiences. But the lede is something that doesn't exist: there is no "vtuber community". Like all streaming, vtubing is filled with diverse opinions and ulterior motives. And the only relationships and connections that matter are the ones we cultivate as individuals ❤️

@suvimaru i think the spirit of the post was more just wishing that more of the apropriate content creators were more open to not witch hunting teens, but it is their space and they should do what makes them feel safest so moot point there. my take is parents need to parent 1st/ foremost

@suvimaru while i understand the sentiment and concern, i think there are bigger things to fight, like roblox, a childrens game, advertised at children, that actively has predators grooming and lureing children into dating games and 18+ experiences. mind you, 1/2
