So, General/OBC women are eligible, but General/OBC men are not. Why this distinction? If minority men are eligible, on what basis are General/OBC men excluded?

Before OBC reservation, these castes had barely a 2% share in government institutions, mostly limited to lower-level jobs. Even today, if OBC reservation is removed, they simply cannot compete with upper castes on equal footing. While they can pretend to oppose reservation to seek validation from upper castes, the reality is that the gap between upper-caste and OBC cutoffs has never closed. If OBC reservation is abolished, upper castes will once again dominate the government jobs currently held by OBCs.

Why Reservation is the worst way of Social Justice for SC/ST/OBC Savita Meena got 0/300 marks in Physics but still Rajasthan govt hired her for the post of Asst Professor Physics because Rajasthan govt wanted to do social justice with her Now suppose in her teaching career (30 years) she teaches physics to 3000 students. We all know she won't be able to explain any concept of physics to her students and out of those 3000 students, most of them would be SC/ST/OBC who can't afford private schools So just to do Social Justice with 1 person Govt of Rajasthan did Social Injustice with 3000 other students (Most of them are SC/ST/OBC) And it can be generalised across India in all reserved professions Only one group is benefitted from reservation and that is these dishonest political leaders That's why I say, Reservation is the worst form to do Social Justice In place of reservation, SC/ST/OBC must demand free quality education and free books

Why are the general category leaders of the BJP silent on the UGC equity regulations? In Aug 2024, the Union govt advertised 45 joint secretary–level posts through lateral entry, i.e., without reservation. Dalit leaders within the govt, Chirag Paswan and Jitan Ram Manjhi opposed it on principle, forcing the govt to withdraw it. Only 45 posts! The system would not have collapsed, nor would the sky have fallen. There was no mass outrage either. Yet Dalit leaders took it up as a priority and ensured that those 45 posts too get filled through reservation. The UGC equity regulations are a thousand times more discriminatory and structurally damaging than that lateral entry scheme. And yet, not a single general category prominent leader in the BJP has found the courage to speak against it.

Two days have passed, and despite huge outrage over the UGC equity regulations, no one from the govt has taken cognizance. Doing something about it is a distant matter, they haven’t even acknowledged the concerns. Come on, man! How hard is it? If you can’t roll it back because you fear your appeasement groups will get angry, at least add a provision stating that all castes can be victims of caste-based discrimination and that falses cases will have penalty. Can’t even do that? Is it acceptable to you that general category students are openly called slur words? Because that’s exactly what happens in universities. Street gatherings, protests, seminars, and lectures are organized on campuses to openly demonize general category students. A few days ago, I saw a video of university students with dafli chanting, “Tilak, tarazu aur talwar, inko maaro joote chaar! Brahmin, Baniya, Thakur chor, baaki saare DS4.” Have you ever seen any general category group organizing a similar hate event against the reserved category students on university campuses? Unless the govt is fine with general students being abused and framed in false allegations, I can’t see any logical reason to roll out these regulations.
