I know it's an old sketch page. But I just wanted to start a conversation. Its been becoming a somewhat increasing concern that, due to current moods about AI, people might view negatively AI characters like my chars or the story around them ( disclaimer: not talking about generating images, I mean them being AI robot people ). Normally id not think it's a problem but considering where AI dev been going ( and how its used by people in places of power ) I had a passing thought people now might make their judgement based on how AI affects us today. In my world I wanted to show a future where AI is figured out, in a more or less good, helpful way, moving away from your typical cyberpunk narrative ( funnily enough I hate cyberpunk as a genre - I hate the pessimistic portrayal of the future and how negatively the technology shaped it - Id like to see something better, not as bleak as that ). Im not sure if people care to want that and instead would rather see a complete push away from anything artificial thinking. That extends to portrayals in media. Basically im afraid that the current irl happenings will make everyone anti-AI to the point you cant even show a thinking machine character in a good light in media. I might be overthinking it but what is your thought on this?
