If you rely almost entirely on TikTok for growth, then yeah, your viewership will probably correlate with it. But that does not necessarily mean it is the best or most reliable source overall. TikTok is built around very fast short form content, and its audience tends to be younger. A lot of people on the platform are just scrolling for quick entertainment, so the engagement style is very different from someone committing to watch a multi hour stream or a long form video. Because of that, the jump from TikTok viewer to consistent stream viewer is not always that strong unless your content is specifically built to capture those viewers. It can definitely work well as somewhat of a discovery tool, but that does not mean those viewers will stick around long term or participate in your stream or community. Platforms like Instagram or YouTube tend to have more intentional following behavior where people are more likely to check profiles, follow creators they like, engage with longer content, and have money to spend. So TikTok can be great for visibility, but I would not call it the most reliable platform for building a consistent audience unless a lot of your content is made to appeal to what they usually like to see from it.
