@captaincupkick I didn't know about this show until people on here started being hyped for S2. This show got little to no marketing

@taarafilms I think this whole sequence was my favourite in the film. The camera work was amazing and the fighting was spine tingling

Just watched Spider-Man: Brand New Day. I’m just gonna say what my heart feels without worrying about being judged. This is hands down one of the best Spider-Man movies ever made, if not THE best. I read a lot of negative reviews before going, and after watching the film, I can see their point. The movie takes almost the entire first half to pick up the pace. But you know what I think? That's exactly what Marvel movies have been missing lately. That "room" to breathe.
Destin made sure the movie had enough breathing space despite having so much going on in the plot. With today’s attention spans, I feel like critics would have even given negative ratings to films like The Godfather or Goodfellas.
The way Destin handled Sadie Sink's character, someone we’re seeing on screen for the first time, yet he still made us feel something for her, that has to be great writing. The other "superheroes" who appeared in this film, were all there to drive the plot forward, they weren't just there for a cameo-fest. I went into the theater expecting the greatest Spidey swinging scenes, and I got that. But what I didn’t expect was to truly feel just how lonely Peter Parker really is. Tom Holland has reached his peak playing this character. Tom has evolved so much as an actor, just like Peter Parker has in the MCU.
No shade to Jon Watts, but this is the first Spidey film in the MCU that actually looks beautiful. This is also the first time I’ve felt so many emotions while watching a Spider-Man movie since Sam Raimi’s iteration. Emotions that I almost forgot I could feel watching a superhero movie.
This movie doesn't give you a giant action set piece every 5 minutes, it takes time to cook, and then once it delivers, it pulls no punches. 9/10 is my personal rating. You might disagree if you don't like slow-burners, but I do and I don’t think proper storytelling should ever be bound by a time limit.
