I'm super excited to share some results from the Science PRIMA retinal prosthesis clinical trial, including that it's exceeded its main efficacy endpoint with a mean acuity improvement of 4.6 EDTRS lines. Trial participants are almost completely blind due to macular degeneration. There are no good options available to these patients today.

Very sad to hear about the passing of Yves Fregnac - an original thinker who published important work on V1 selectivity & shunting inhibition and, later, on the changing culture of neuroscience research, which we discussed widely during Capocaccia meetings science.org/doi/10.1126/sc…
