@Xolon_ @Shooooober @lickingbulbs Yes, but ramp up gives you velocity, not acceleration so it works in mid game. You will never need acceleration in the mid game. Accel only helps front runners reach top speed in the early race and everyone else reach top speed in the late race. Mid race is all velocity

@Xolon_ @hmson7i @lickingbulbs Yeah so your Brian has more midgame but also, more reliable midgame. Straight adept, THH and PTO will almost always trigger into each other and give much more sustained speed up than take the chance/eager, so your Brian pushes up much more effectively and breaks PDM.

@Xolon_ @hmson7i @lickingbulbs No you're misunderstanding, if she triggers fighter midrace with the other skills, it does NOTHING. Fighter increases acceleration, not velocity or target speed. You're not accelerating in the midgame, you're just undergoing speed up and speed down, which is a different mechanic.

What is weird to me is that shadow break never proc in mid but in last straight

@Xolon_ @lickingbulbs Fighter is still a bad accel because of its unreliability and fickle trigger conditions, there's a number of better ones for lates. You can definitely grab it if you're taking skills with nothing else available, but I'd never take it mid-run.

@Xolon_ @hmson7i @lickingbulbs Narita stays in good position in the last corner because of all the midgame speed skills she has (position pilfer, medium straights, late corners etc), which is why she gets a chance to proc fighter once it's acceleration time. And it's very lucky she didn't trigger fighter early

@Xolon_ @lickingbulbs Yes, but fighter is an acceleration skill, NOT a target speed increase skill. So if it activates before the spurt zone (which is essentially the entirety of the midgame) it has absolutely no effect, and you're very likely to trigger it before you actually get to spurting.
