If they want to be taken seriously it can’t be Lesbian Island 24/7. The majority of America isn’t gay and they don’t watch this for all the gay relationship drama and fallout. Some do MOST DON’T. That’s the honest truth. I watch for CC and for the players that have amazing skill and talent(O. Miles- Flau Jae…). I watch for the competition. That’s the drama I love. Lesbian Island will pull almost no viewers if that’s the main theme of the WNBA. Imagine watching an all gay NBA league. How about Never! That would never make it 1 season. It would be cancelled faster than Angel Reese faulty Reeboks! How many would watch that? (Gay NBA) FEW to NONE! That’s the risk in the WNBA now. If you keep making this the dominant theme for the league you will get very low viewership and stunted growth moving ahead. Honestly the whole weekend was a gay pride parade weekend. I am a WNBA junkee but trust me most are not. I have thousands of posters telling me how bad the game was and how boring the weekend events were. That’s not great! I thought it was ok. Not great, but I expected it to be a gay pride parade and a game minus any defense. And it was. Please hear me clearly. You don’t have to hide what you are, not at all. Be proud. I’m good with that. You just don’t need it as the main storyline 24/7. The public wants great basketball. Not Lesbian Island.
