@Hugohrlt @FPSthetics @sbv_sm Yes, it can be tough, but not impossible, to compete against players who have built up experience over the past decade.
The small team behind Shootmania is currently focused on Trackmania, which is a success on PC, and will be coming to consoles and streaming this year.

@Shootmania @FPSthetics @sbv_sm While I admire the never dying community support for Elite, you gotta admit that 20 players (at its peak) is just not enough to maintain a proper MM experience.

@Shootmania @FPSthetics @sbv_sm Shootmania's Elite game mode was (and still is, imo) one of the best competitive experience out there.
It's just such a shame that you guys at Nadeo didn't invest seriously enough in this game.
I would pay to enjoy another 800 hours with more than 6 players on the servers...

@Jdban Yes, we’ve heard the downloads in-game can be slow for some players. There is a full download, which can save some time. It’s 5GBs and includes the base data for Shootmania Storm and the 4 TM2 titles. Here’s a link: files.v04.maniaplanet.com/setups/Maniapl…

@Shootmania I own it through Steam. If I tell friends to buy the game and install it, I then have to tell them to run the launcher and spend like an hour while the patches and stuff download from the slow servers
