@sean_gause Foundry still looks fucking gorgeous with all the hud off.

As much as I enjoy all three modern Doom games, I don't love how hard they've leaned into the fantasy stuff. Dragons, castles, kings and queens, all the pseudo-gothic architecture, etc. I enjoyed the industrial sci-fi aesthetic of 2016.

I think my one genuine problem with Doom Revelations is that there’s (seemingly) no way to replay campaign missions on a completed save, unlike every previous release. I hope this can be addressed, I don’t love having to start from scratch just to replay a late game boss 🥺

@FPSthetics Eternal and Dark Ages can be played in VR. It's stunning. Monitor players have no idea.

I think that regardless of recent news we should consider ourselves so thankful this trilogy even exists. Three fantastic Doom games that all aren't afraid to play completely different to each other. Take your pick, they're all fire and all worthy of the Doom name.

@DUSKdev Me too, but I think given the unfortunate situation they've just found themselves in, another Doom game has become the safe bet for them. I really just want a Quake reboot or a new IP myself though.

To be honest I wish they'd give Doom a rest. Especially now.

@FPSthetics I consider them a separate saga. Doom 2016 and Eternal are the Slayer Saga while Dark Ages and that upcoming one is the Dark Age Saga.

@FPSthetics I just fired up DOOM II mods because nu-Doom is lame.

I wasn't fully in love with The Dark Ages on release but I wasn't in the best place at the time so I chalk it up to that, several updates and patches overtime have put it in the same league as the first two for me, and the DLC might even surpass Eternal for me, it's that good.

Doom Eternal blew me away and was basically (almost) everything I wanted in a sequel, still one of the most fast and frantic and insane FPS games now. The work I put in for Ultra Nightmare alone was enough for me lol.

@Runhob Next doom game gonna be a retelling of Doom 1 and 2 that’s essentially a revived Doom 4 that’s more action horror instead of Call of Doomty

Nobody is talking about how the unreleased #Doom4 could be canon in Doom: The Dark Ages - Revelations flashbacks. Same weapons, same vehicles and identical urban-style environments.
