Unfortunately the ambition of players these days is not what it once was gone are the days of players wanting to play as high as they can and in are the days where players want to play as close to their doorstep as possible grassroots/non league football has been in decline for years and whilst I sympathise with the clubs plight the more you regionalise the football pyramid the more you dilute the standard you only need to look at standard of SWPL these days to see that the best of Devon vs the best of Cornwall was a brilliant standard of football sadly those days are no longer here. It’s a real shame to see any clubs struggling especially one I have very fond memories off and hope to see it back challenging at the right end of the table soon

The dividing line should be Exeter with a North and South Western Lge to reduce travel costs. I’ve suggested for a number of years drawing a 50mile radius around Bristol to include teams over the bridge

@l4pablo Completely agree robotic, over coached boring tactics and constant conning of the referees leading to stop start games back in the 60,70, and 80’s if anyone got kicked or hurt they would get up on get on with it ⚽️

Anyone else feel like They’re falling out of love with football? Footie players used to be proper men who enjoyed the physical battle, getting stuck in with real aggression. Today it’s basically a non contact sport. The game’s gone.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, the pull of Poundbakery in Wrexham town centre just can’t be ignored. The offers they have on those baked pastry goods are too good to miss. Wrexham has one. Bristol doesn’t. It really is that simple.

@bs4_gas I’m afraid a lot of clubs don’t like to admit that certain players slipped under the academy scouting network I know for a fact that after scoring 2 goals v Sheffield Utd under 19’s their chief scout came banging Lou’s door down but this move was hijacked by Bs3’s scouting guru

As I understand it regarding Louis Britton. We’ve had scouts watching him this season, we are interested but haven’t made a bid. Rumours are saying he is due to sign for the gas this week, let’s see what happens.
