Pleasant trip to the beach and my cousins cafe at Kensington Gardens in Lowestoft.

Good morning folks, plenty of blue sky about so we're heading to the seafront this afternoon.

48 years ago today I watched Lowestoft Town beat Saffron Walden 2 0.

In 1977 I met the then landlord of the pub we went to this afternoon which was hosting a wake. He was a customer of the company I worked at. It reminded me that our company electric typewriter had the y key missing. I had to type a v & write over it with a pencil!

We went out to get some marmalade and a pub lunch. There wasn't any marmalade and the pub had closed down. We called at another on the way home but they were hosting a wake. We eventually ended up eating around 500 yards from our house.

Our afternoon didn't quite go as planned, but more of that later.

The boy Dennis led me to the churchyard this morning, very pleasant it was too. We're heading out later to buy some marmalade and for a pub lunch.
