Culver City won its own tournament title, beating Mira Costa in the final. QB Nick Hoang and receiver Evan Powell led Culver City. San Clemente defeated San Juan Hills to win the Ocean View tournament.

The Ohio judge who granted 15 athletes additional eligibility did not disclose his school “ties,” NCAA says in a statement to Yahoo. Chris Wagner is a graduate of Xavier & Cincinnati Law. His wife is a dean at UC Law. Five of the athletes are affiliated with Cincinnati/Xavier.

I understand the high school sports world has changed, but it doesn't mean players and parents should act like pros and let agents control all aspects of their life. There's little listening happening when life lessons are being taught by coaches and teachers. Good luck on navigating the future. Promises of money are no guarantee of success.
