@Shredderssugar i don't know why these people take "trans people are still valid without HRT or surgery" (which they may not get for a variety of reasons) to mean "No trans person needs HRT or surgery ever".

Going back meaning hbs which wouldn’t have let you transition. Yes saying trans ppl don’t need it is harmful as fuck but going back to the literal dark times isn’t gonna fix anything. Hell even then they tried so hard to discourage you from transitioning

sex change was exclusively for the surgical genital reassignment, because sex used to be colloquially located in the genitals. we still call it Genital or Sex Reassignment Surgery. sex change wasnt used for HRT, breast aug or top surgery.
