@K2M0e And he’s often doing mental gymnastics trying to decide how he feels about Tweek in a way that seems like he often purposefully brings out Tweek’s worst traits because it feels more “normal”, or to make himself feel more in control and grounded in a situation to satisfy himself

@BROKEGOATartz RIGHT!! There’s so many instances of bad decision making (smoking more than usual, slipping out of his yoga habits, even not wearing a seatbelt) that just sort of illuminate how great Craig is at enabling Tweek and he was perfectly happy to let it happen because it felt normal

@ShrimpPuddingg UGHYES Tweek said from the very beginning that Craig’s a trigger. He might not relapse but Craig still provides a safety net for making bad decisions. And he’s 100% right. Craig never stopped wanting that old, messy, version of them, esp when he’s still such a mess himself

Maybe it’s just me but I also kind of felt like Craig’s final epiphany was almost parallel with a lot of the fanbase’s fears/theories, like we’re all sitting here terrified for the worst when the real issue was in front of us all along

@sortasick It’s SO good!! There’s so many small instances of behavioral changes that are so clear now… Craig is more equipped to interact with an unstable Tweek and Tweek is more used to engaging in unhealthy behaviors around Craig 🙃

YESSSSSS exactly!!! I saw so many people afraid of tweek relapsing… even after the foreshadowing in chapter 5…. Which. I strongly recommend re-reading now 🤭

@sortasick That in addition to the realization that Tweek never being able to find his lighter and Craig providing his own was directly enabling Tweek because he didn’t smoke in high school so clearly Craig was providing the lighter for Something Else

@sortasick Craig getting Tweek drunk (and Tweek allowing himself to drink excessively) always felt to me like a “maybe Craig was part of the addiction all along” moment but I too got caught up in the relapse theories 🙃
