I visited Condover church today as part of my research on William Farr & was lucky to hear the organ being played. Farr’s guardian Joseph Pryce was buried here. Above the door there is a plaque highlighting gifts he and his brother gave to the poor of the Parish.

I’m so glad to see that helped Charles Darwin in his studies. Both from Salop. Darwin worked in Salop Infirmary with his father Dr Robert Darwin a year before Farr studied there. Both later in life led to giant leaps in scientific understanding. darwinproject.ac.uk/letter/DCP-LET…
