We started the week discussing Grace Hopper - the queen of coding -the woman who revolutionized computer coding. She coined the term 'computer bug' and taught computers to 'speak English'. #inclusive #equal

At Shrubland Street,we're celebrating International @womensday AND the start of @ScienceWeekUK by highlighting inspirational women in science.

We also have heard about Kaplana Chawla who was an Indian-born American astronaut and aerospace engineer who was the first woman of Indian origin to fly to space - She first flew on Space Shuttle Columbia in 1997 as a mission specialist and primary robotic arm operator aboard!

What a great morning of activities with CWSSP -we have learnt lots of new skills and had an amazing time! Thank you to Summer our Campion leader and our Well-being Ambassador Florence for helping us this morning!

At Shrubland Street we love ❤️ reading - it’s a gift that just keeps on giving! So lovely to see children wanting to spend time with a book!

Today EYFS invited parents into our Mothers Day Cafe - fun was had by all. There were lots of arts and crafts including bracelet making!

@GirlguidingMids @wagggsworld Our children will wear their uniforms to school today to promote the day and talk to other pupils about how we global issues such as environmental sustainability, gender equality, peace, and poverty.

Happy World Thinking Day! World Thinking Day is a day of international friendship and an opportunity to speak out about issues affecting girls and young women. The @wagggsworld theme for this year is "Our World, Our Thriving Future" and we'd love to hear how you got involved! ⬇️

What a wonderful few days #TeamDunfield have had. We couldn't be prouder of our kind, funny and resilient children. Every single one of them were a pleasure to take away and they were absolute stars 🤩 I hope they sleep well tonight! #shrubstsuperstars Happy Half Term everyone
