3 Reasons why Bruno Guimarães to Arsenal just makes sense 1) Build up issues. It’s no surprise that a fundamental issue in Arsenal’s attacking play has been the subpar build up linking the defense to the attack. Arsenal had 2 world class ball handlers in #5 & Jorginho, who were press resistant and most importantly progressed the play with line breaking passes or long switches out wide. Arteta learnt very early on that Declan Rice cannot be your team's primary ball handler. For all his qualities, he just isn’t that kind of 6, which is why he’s been utilized as a box to box 8 paired with a 6. Zubimendi who was signed to fill the void of a deep lying playmaker has ultimately failed in filling that. Towards the latter parts of the season, he had a tendency to hide in build up, not making himself available to receive the ball and playing safe backward and sideway passes, not breaking lines or progressing play. Bruno Guimarães does exactly that with close to 7 line-breaking passes per 90 in the 25/26 league season compared to Zubimendi’s just above 4. This is a superior upgrade and will certainly help fix the build up issues. 2) Market Value. Seeing Anderson (130m), Tonali (100m) & M.Fernandes (85m) move for those figures and seeing the quoted price tags of Scott (100m) and Tchouameni (90m). The midfield market is beyond broken. There is no value left no matter who you sign as arguments can be made for all to be hit or miss’ in their own right. But one thing that you can be sure of is Bruno Guimaraes is a better player than all the aforementioned players. Being 28 and having just 2 years left with the player showing no indication to extend, we can be assured that his price tag will be below 80m thanks to the leverage on hand. Whilst all the others are younger and will hold resale value, in the context of having a player arrive in his prime and hopefully deliver major honours, resale value holds little weight when compared with another Premier League and potential Champions League trophy. We’re here to win now, not for making profit in 3 years. 3) New Challenge In the past year Newcastle have sold Isak, Gordon & now Tonali. Some might argue selling Tonali means that they won’t sell Bruno and you’d be right in thinking that. However, it's not up to Newcastle. Bruno turns 29 in November, two years left on his deal, he is in the prime of his career with just a Carabao Cup to his name. This is Brazil’s starting midfielder by the way. Arsenal proposes his last chance of joining a team that will offer him major honours to compete for. He is sure to be starting week in week out, and Arsenal will certainly put him on blockbuster wages too. If he feels he’s achieved all he can in Newcastle and wants to now finally win the big ones, it’s a no brainer for him. If Berta manages to convince him, Newcastle have no choice but to sell. It’s all in Bruno’s hands. What will he do?

@ShuhanAFC I hear it my overall point is we struggle to sell players in total for way too long. 20 million for what he’s done for us is actually ridiculous, other clubs like Chelsea sell their “shit” players for wild fees

Gianni Infantino has said FIFA will examine expanding the World Cup by a further 16 nations to a 64-team tournament ahead of its next edition in 2030. The 2030 tournament will be spread across six nations and three continents: Uruguay, Argentina and Paraguay are scheduled to host one match apiece at the start of the competition, with the remaining games split between Morocco, Portugal and Spain.
