Shout-out! - Year 7 I just wanted to pass on how impressed I am with Year 7 RE this half term! They have started a new topic exploring Philosophy and how we gain knowledge, and their enthusiasm and willingness to learn has been fantastic. They are confidently using new vocabulary such as rationalism and empiricism, while really demonstrating resilience and perseverance throughout their learning. Philosophers in the making - Well done, Year 7!

NHS are running clinics in the may half term to catch up anyone that has missed their school vaccinations. We have two Clinics: Tuesday 26/05/26 Burnley 9am -3.30pm Wednesday Clitheroe 9am - 3.30pm These are appointment only and can be booked by calling our office on: 033 3358 3397 Option 2, Option 2 Year 8 and 9 pupils can also attend these if they have missed HPV or DTP, MenACWY in school but we have mop up sessions book with many of you where we can catch most of these.

Year 8 took part in 'Le petit déjeuner français' this week. They practiced how to order breakfast items in French and demonstrated their impressive language skills! They ate baguettes, Boursin, ham, jam and more! Well done year 8. Excellent travail!

Huge thanks to Michelle from @TheMoneyCharity who is in school this week running sessions with all Year 10 students. The focus is on understanding wages, tax and budgeting - vital real-world skills! Michelle described 10b1 English as lovely & Mrs Turner said the class engaged well with the session and really showed how fantastic Shuttleworth students are.
