Who was driving it? The real weight came from independent CT voices (opinion leaders + traders/analysts made up 52% of total signal), onchain analysts tearing apart the Dolomite mechanics, and journalists. One independent creator, Peter Girnus, generated more signal than Justin Sun himself. The number that matters most. WLFI accounts for an estimated 80%+ of the sector's signal uplift. Ethena and Sky both had genuine positive weeks, new Aave integrations, USDS supply up to $11B, but they're background noise against a C-level legal dispute running in real time. Strip WLFI out, and stablecoin sector signal is steady, not surging. The regulatory tailwind is real. The controversy is louder.
