@NewYorkNixon We’ve commented on the referees being poor since 1995 and it’s got us nowhere. Something needs to change. All I said was that your comment around refs getting little or no reward is false. Some earn $300k a year. Performing poorly in any industry should have consequences.

@Si_Child So comment on the refereeing being poor and highlight those decisions. Calling people cheats just normalises the type of behaviour that's sadly filtering into the community game.

Apologies, but a bit of a long-winded thread... The problem with Jason Paris' comments is that it further normalises questioning the integrity of referees, who for the vast majority of referees are volunteers, doing the best they can for little or no reward.
