Mr. Adhola holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Geoinformation Technology from the Technical University of Kenya, as well as a Diploma in Land Survey from the Kenya Institute of Survey and Mapping.

𝐂𝐄𝐂𝐌 𝐕𝐄𝐓𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐔𝐏𝐃𝐀𝐓𝐄| The final nominee to appear before the Assembly’s Committee on Appointments, for vetting is Mr. Augustine Neto Adhola, the nominee for the position of CECM in the Department of Lands, Physical Planning, Housing and Urban Development.

The ongoing approval hearings are being conducted in accordance with Article 179(2)(b) of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010, read together with Section 35 of the County Governments Act, 2012, and Standing Order 195(4) of the Siaya County Assembly Standing Orders.

Dr. Kut is the seventh nominee to appear before the Assembly’s Committee on Appointments, chaired by Speaker Hon. George Okode.

𝐂𝐄𝐂𝐌 𝐕𝐄𝐓𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐔𝐏𝐃𝐀𝐓𝐄| The vetting of Dr. Ochogo Nicholas Kut, the nominee for the County Executive Committee Member (CECM) position for Tourism, Culture, Sports and Arts, is currently ongoing at the County Assembly Buildings.

Mr. Odawa previously served as the Member of County Assembly (MCA) for Sigomre Ward from 2017 to 2022. During his tenure, he also served as the Chairperson of the House Committee on Public Works, Roads, Energy, and Transport

Members of the Committee are engaging the nominee on key sector priorities, policy direction, and his preparedness to deliver on the County’s development agenda.

𝐂𝐄𝐂𝐌 𝐕𝐄𝐓𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐔𝐏𝐃𝐀𝐓𝐄| Mr. Erick Abungu Odawa - CECM nominee for Public Works, Roads, Energy, and Transport, is being vetted by the House Committee on Appointments.

Mr. Ochieng previously served as the Member of County Assembly (MCA) for Yimbo West Ward from 2013 to 2022. During his tenure, he also served as the Chairperson of the House Committee on Agriculture, Irrigation, Food, Livestock, and Fisheries.

The Committee, chaired by Speaker Hon. George Okode, is assessing his suitability, experience, and professional competence to lead the docket.

𝐂𝐄𝐂𝐌 𝐕𝐄𝐓𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐔𝐏𝐃𝐀𝐓𝐄|The fourth candidate to appear before the Appointments Committee is Ms. Grace Agola, the nominee for CECM-Education, Youth Affairs, Gender & Social Services. She has previously served as the CECM Trade, Enterprise, and Industrial Development

𝐂𝐄𝐂𝐌 𝐕𝐄𝐓𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐔𝐏𝐃𝐀𝐓𝐄| The third candidate to appear before the Appointments Committee is Ms. Christine Jenifer Akinyi, the nominee for the County Executive Committee Member (CECM) for Trade, Cooperatives, and Industrialization.

Mr. Nyingiro has previously served as the CECM for Public Works, Roads, Energy and Transport, as well as Acting CECM for Finance.

𝐂𝐄𝐂𝐌 𝐕𝐄𝐓𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐔𝐏𝐃𝐀𝐓𝐄| The second nominee to appear before the Appointments Committee is Mr. George Odhiambo Nyingiro, the nominee for the County Executive Committee Member (CECM) for Finance and Economic Planning.

Currently appearing before the Committee is Mr. Joseph Rading Otieno, the nominee for the position of CECM for Governance and Administration. The vetting process is expected to continue throughout the day, with other nominees scheduled to appear before the Committee.

The approval hearings are being conducted in line with the Assembly’s constitutional mandate to assess the suitability, competence, and integrity of the nominees before their appointment to office.
