Today in Parliament, I raised concerns affecting India’s prepaid recharge customers, who account for nearly 90% of the country’s 125 crore mobile users. (1) If a recharge expires, stopping outgoing calls may be understandable. But why are incoming calls stopped as well? Once validity ends, people cannot be reached, and even essential messages like bank OTPs may not come through. In emergencies or urgent situations, this can leave a person completely cut off. My demands: First is that incoming calls and SMS should continue for at least one year after the last recharge so essential communication does not stop. Second, a mobile number should not be deactivated for at least three years after the last recharge. Third, telecom operators should introduce a low cost “incoming only” plan for users who simply need their number to remain active for essential calls, OTPs and government services. (2) I also raised the issue of 28 day recharge “monthly” plans. If something is called monthly, it should follow the calendar month of 30–31 days. Because of the 28 day cycle, consumers effectively end up paying for 13 recharges in a year. (28 days × 13 recharges = 364 days) Telecom Operators should sync up their Recharge Plans with the true calendar months, and not 28 day plans. A mobile phone today is not a luxury. It is a lifeline. Prepaid recharge customers deserve fairness and transparency. Not clever fine print.

A few days ago, @kingkapoor72's restaurant in London was attacked by Islamists for refusing to serve halal food. He has also been vocal against Khalistani elements. Now, in response, many Britishers are showing up to support him and help clean the storefront, a show of solidarity from Brits and a sign of how fed up many people are with Islamists. Good. Finally, Britishers are beginning to understand who their real enemy is.

After a restaurant owner in Hammersmith, London said he proudly doesn’t serve halal food, his shopfront was vandalized and he faced harassment. Local Brits have since been showing up to support him and help clean the storefront 👏

Then you always have to set storage limits and storage expiration dates, which is constantly annoying.

Last night, Tom visited my restaurant with his wife. It took him 2 hours to reach my restaurant, but he came anyway. He saw the attack on my restaurant and ran out to confront those animals. I had to stop him, if the Met Police had been called, they should have arrested him for protecting me. Big shoutout to Tom, a patriot who stood for what’s right. 🫡

Out of all things, my respect for Mumbai crowd just keeps increasing. All the matches at Wankhede, even non Indian ones, had a packed crowd. And today, when India was struggling, they never stopped cheering and motivating the players. Every ICC final should be played here. 🫡

Maybe some people don’t know but a few years back, Kabam held a community vote on the forums so players could decide whether they wanted Magik & Quake to remain 5-Star locked or be reworked and return to the game. The final vote from the community was to keep them as they were.
