Rep. Brad Schneider criticized Abdul El-Sayed’s event with Hasan Piker and Summer Lee, warning Democrats about platforming Hasan. Hasan’s clips are often taken out of context and he did apologize for his 2019 9/11 comments. On the other hand, Randy Fine has said the choice between “dogs and Muslims is easy” and saying dogs are better, called for mass deportations of Muslims, called Mayor Mamdani a “Muslim terrorist,” said “we need more Islamophobia,” suggested nuking Gaza, and implied protesters could be run over yet Schneider hasn’t shown the same outrage. These are not just “controversial” comments, they’re hateful. Schneider’s outrage appears selective. He voted with Republicans to censure Rashida Tlaib and to remove Ilhan Omar from the Foreign Affairs Committee for much much less, yet has stayed silent on his religious extremist colleague Randy Fine. Does he endorse these hateful comments against Muslims? Hard to tell. Take a wild guess which lobby has given Brad Schneider $6 million.
