Ethan was building an app, Sophia joined him a few days later. At first, they shared code by sending files. Ethan: “Here’s the latest version.” Sophia: “I already changed something.” Now both had different “latest” versions. They started renaming files again and again. Soon, even they didn’t know which file was correct. Then they started using Git. Instead of creating new files, they just saved their work as commits. Each commit was like a checkpoint. A clear record of what the project looked like at that moment. So when something broke, they didn’t panic anymore. They just went back to a previous version. One day, Ethan wanted to try a risky feature. Instead of touching the main code, he created a branch. A safe space to experiment. Sophia kept working on the main project at the same time. Two different paths, same project. When Ethan’s feature was ready, they merged it back. If it failed, they could throw it away like it never existed. Now they both worked freely. No overwriting. No confusion & No fear. And when they used GitHub, their code lived in one shared place online. Always updated, always in sync. and that was all about Git !
