My whole time learning how to drive was not about learning how to drive, but learning how others drive.

My take on this is that it's important to align what the next beneficial thing for humanity, with a geopolitical reason. It won't happen unless we frame the next good step in terms of "this is what we'll gain from it".

Human beings don't do the next thing because it is the next thing to do. We didn't go to the moon because it was the next step for humanity. We do big expensive things like that for geopolitical reasons. Logical progression isn't a priority as much as 'what do we gain from this'

The best way to incorporate new positive behaviours and skills in yourself is to meet new people who do things differently than you.

TUIs lack discoverability. But this is okay if you're a poweruser who knows the commands beforehand. But people forget commands sometimes.

One of the positive unintended side effects of us moving into an Age of LLMs is that the predominant modality of data shifts back towards plaintext.
