Upper and middle class people always have this resentful tension with lower classes, who across the board are more willing and capable to break laws, which gives them freedoms the more obedient lack. This allows poors to outcompete the richer in certain domains, such as street violence. This pisses off higher class people who trade submission for money and are humiliated by that, just as poors are humiliated by their lack of it, while being disfavored by the system, as well as socially by the rich. This is a human universal tension anywhere classes exist, which is pretty much everywhere outside of junglebunny spearchucking holdouts on remote islands or deep in the Amazon. The higher class people trying to play standoff chicken in a lower class domain will rarely if ever work. It's just not where their advantage lies. Race is one of many microcosms of this principle. The law is its practice, and your personal interpretation of it doesn't mean anything. What the court officers and cops actually do is what matters.
