I join family, friends, and well-wishers to felicitate the co-founder of Andela, Iyinoluwa Aboyeji, OON, on his 35th birthday anniversary today. I celebrate Iyinoluwa for his many impressive achievements in enterprise and the innovation ecosystem at a young age. He is a great ambassador of our state and a shining role model to the younger ones. Our administration owes Iyinoluwa a debt of gratitude for his keen commitment to educational advancement in our state. As a board member of the Kwara State Education Trust Fund, Iyin's efforts at mobilising funds and support for the programmes of the organisation, especially the Adopt-a-Child Initiative, do not go unnoticed and are well-appreciated. I wish the Founder of Future Africa and former managing director of Flutterwave good health and more fulfilling years in career and leadership.

After the British attacked and took over Lagos in 1851, they forcefully seized ownership of a lot of land. In 1921, Chief Amodu Tijani, the Oluwa of Lagos, bravely took Britain to court for unlawfully seizing his land. He won the case and was awarded £22,500 - a significant victory that highlighted the resilience and determination of individuals in the face of colonial oppression.

@elliot_solution The govt of the day didn’t really support the abduction but only went along to the scheme sold to them by their ex-senior military officer…

Nigeria hired Israeli Mossad agents to kidnap a former minister off the streets of London. Two men grabbed him outside his house and threw him into a van. They drugged him unconscious and locked him inside a wooden crate. They put a doctor inside the crate with him. His only job was to keep the man alive during the flight back to Nigeria. The crate was labelled diplomatic baggage and loaded onto a Nigeria Airways plane at Stansted Airport. A British customs officer smelled something strange coming from the crate. He opened it. Found the minister unconscious with a doctor sitting next to him holding a syringe. Nigeria denied everything. Israel denied everything. The UK broke off diplomatic relations with Nigeria for two years. The man who ordered it became Nigeria’s president the following year. 💀🇳🇬

Guys, when you are having a disagreement with the woman you love, it is important to put things in perspective. Let her know that “We are not ending the relationship or getting divorced o. We are just having a misunderstanding. We will eventually settle it and carry on.” A lot of the time, when people move mad and do and say things they later regret, it is out of insecurity about whether you want to dump them for someone else. You can let someone know that you are not happy with what they did and would want them to do things differently but that doesn’t mean that you don’t want them anymore. If you take that insecurity off the table, you have dissipated at least half the tension. I am Ezemmuo. I know things. [Dear “What If FC”, I am talking about normal disagreements in a healthy relationship. Not when you have caught her in flagrante delicto with your best friend].😂

Not one to call anybody out for landing cushy gigs. Sometimes, brilliant people need privilege and soft roles to accelerate their ideas. That said, Nollywood people, how would you rate Ali Nuhu as MD of the Nigerian Film Corporation? Has he done anything at all? Not anything spectacular o; just anything worthy of note. Anybody?

It's okay to hate Awolowo because your dad told you he was this & that. But I encourage you to at least read the books the man left us so you can hate him from a place of knowledge. More than any other frontline politician, Awo documented his thoughts and positions. Read, please.
Sodiq Alabi@OneSodiqAlabii

I can't speak for all of them, but Obafemi Jeremiah Awolowo will hold his own against any American founding father, any time, any day. The range of his thought- constitutional federalism, development economics, political philosophy- matched anything Jefferson or Madison produced.
