We have lost touch with our staff in Gaza, with health facilities, health workers and the rest of our humanitarian partners on the ground. This siege makes me gravely concerned for their safety and the immediate health risks of vulnerable patients. We urge immediate protection of all civilians and full humanitarian access.

The humanitarian system in Gaza is facing a total collapse with unimaginable consequences for more than 2 million civilians. Needs are growing ever more critical & colossal. Food, water, medicine & fuel must be allowed to reach all civilians swiftly, safely & at scale.

For the last 10 weeks, staff have taken part in British Sign Language training, to improve our communication with patients, families and supporters who are deaf or hard of hearing. Thanks to Yona & Audrius from @Signs4LifeUK. We can't wait to put our training into practice!

Words by #Strictly Hamza that I'll share with my students in the new term: 1. Surround yourself with people whose eyes light up when they see you coming 2. The top of the mountain is the bottom of the next, so keep climbing 3. Slowly is the fastest way to where you want to be
