Reflecting on my 2025 run as Head Coach. These three splits have been a real rollercoaster. When Siko asked me in 2023 to be a manager (disguised as an Assistant Coach), I never imagined I’d be leading this team in CL 2025. My mission when gathering these players was to build a Benelux roster that could make an impact. My dream was to show the dominant French region the danger our smaller region can bring, and after Split 3 I believe we may have changed some opinions. Split 3 was my best work yet, but also the toughest mentally and physically. In the first two splits I had the energy and comfortable support thanks to Siko. That changed when we lost our organisation for Split 3. I searched day and night for one, but all we got were no-answers, false promises, miscommunications, and in the end, nothing. Even so, I gave my 200%. Normally I don’t care about money because I do this for the love of the game and because I love winning. But things changed when my dad suddenly became very ill mid-split. I live only with my dad and my dog since my parents divorced a little while ago, and at 75 he can no longer do everything alone. Losing to Mandatory made me break down in tears because I saw this split as our chance to reach CL EMEA and secure a paid role. I need that stability to invest in help for walking my dog, I fear I might have to give her up if my dad cannot walk her anymore.... University starts in two weeks and I haven’t had a break since November 2024. I’ll take 2–3 weeks now to recharge, hopefully a solo trip abroad, then return for Red Bull Home Grounds USA. In 2026 my goal will be VCT, I'm coming for you.
