It has been a very long time since I changed my PFP on X and discord. It is time! For the first time in my life, I have put my name on a project in Web3. That project is @MortalCK I strongly believe in the founding team members and our vision. We are building on @monad but our IP will be open to anyone, to any chain, to any project on any other chain. In the coming period, we will make sure that you hear more about Mortal. (Disclaimer: I personally minted 4 Mortal NFTs and purchased 8 more in the secondary market before reveal, and I was blessed to end up with this beauty which is also my son’s favorite!)

I have loved this property since I was a young boy. Owned by famed Astronomer Carl Sagan, this “tomb” sat empty for years perched on the cliff edge adjacent to Cornell University. I was thankful to acquire this historic property from Mrs. Sagan last year and will renovate this to be a meeting/thinking place for digital artists from around the world. I have entrusted the design of this project to legendary architect firm I.M PEI to help bring this property to its full glory. Anticipated completion date: late 2027….

My own views on the markets Ongoing concerns about quantum computing and the Iran–U.S./Israel conflict continue to weigh on the markets. We did not experience a major “Sell in May and go away” type of move, although there was some selling pressure in crypto throughout May, which was normal given the negative news flow. Looking ahead, a couple of things concern me in the short term. I am not saying that crypto will continue its downtrend, but we will probably see this sluggish performance persist for a while. I am not selling any digital assets and will continue to wait. The first thing to keep in mind is the state of the war. According to international energy institutions, even if the conflict were to end tomorrow, its impact on energy and other commodity prices would not reverse for the next six to nine months. That means the world could face a significant rise in inflation. Rising inflation will, at best, reduce central banks’ willingness to cut interest rates (and in some cases, they could even raise them slightly), which would not be encouraging for crypto markets. Many people are hoping that the new Fed Chair, Walsh, will cut rates, but I have bad news: Walsh is unlikely to ease monetary policy in the short term. Again, I am not talking about a catastrophic scenario, but the short-term outlook for financial markets does not appear very encouraging.
