@Boltsicle *silhouette backs up to the gate and lets himself fall backwards through it. bolt clearly looked up to him, why not give a little show? he lands flat on his bed in the darkness of his own room and sighs.*

@SilhouetteOfRot Oh- bye! And that goes both ways, too! Need anything, let me know, I'll make time for you! [Bolt waves enthusiastically, watching Silhouette go, all smiles. What a good time.]

@Boltsicle well kid, this was nice. thanks for getting me out of the lab… and… into another lab. more enjoyable one at least. take care. err… and if you need help with anything else, feel free to ask. ill make the time for it. *silhouette grins, turning a heel to walk towards the gate.*

@SilhouetteOfRot [Bolt beams, unrepentant.] Maybe! [Little shitbag doesn't even try and fix anything or pretend to look guilty, just smiles up at Silhouette like he won something.]

@Boltsicle …that was absolutely all a trick to get this to happen, wasnt it. *silhouette ruffles bolts feathers again, only enough to not fuck up everything he just did.*

@SilhouetteOfRot [Bolt doesn't complain or flinch away whatsoever, smiling like he's having the time of his life. Because he is.] Thank youu. [Dumb bird is a mess on legs, and is almost looking presentable now. Almost, this is still Bolt after all.]

@Boltsicle *silhouette reaches over with one hand, gently brushing away the layer of whatever it was. takes him a moment to fix up the feathers- a little longer than if bolt hadnt touched it but whatever, silhouette doesnt care, he can actually breathe here and is in no rush to leave.*

@SilhouetteOfRot [Bolt nods, just once, dropping his glasses on a table to get them out of the way.] If you don't mind, I won't say no.

@Boltsicle its fine, nothing to apologize for. need a hand…?

@SilhouetteOfRot [Bolt reaches up, batting at the mess, shaking his head like a wet dog as he tries to fix his disaster fluff.] Sorry, uh. Happens sometimes, the joys of being a bird. [It's not working. Absolute birdfailure.]

@Boltsicle ehh dont mention it. i do this kind of thing for a living, anyways. nice to get out and do something like this though… you might want to… *silhouette points at the top of bolts head, where a few feathers were messy and there was a thin layer of something like dust or soot.*

@SilhouetteOfRot [Bolt stumbles slightly, unused to doing this without borrowing from Siryn's power. He sets the emerald down carefully, other hand moving to smooth down his feathers.] That was so cool- and now we know so much! Thank you so much for helping me out with this.

@Boltsicle wonderful. its not perfect, but its a start. if you want me to throw you in the fMRI too, be my guest. *silhouette jots something down in his own personal notebook.* i dont know if this stuff will work in other universes. but now you know how this ones emeralds work, at least…

@SilhouetteOfRot [It's not clean, the crackling of unstable energy, and the feathers on the back of Bolt's neck bristle moments before he finally disappears, the air in his wake charged with something ugly and sharp.] [But at least he did it!]

@Boltsicle exactly. now, im not a psychiatrist or anything, but is there any chance youre pushing down uh… bad thoughts, at all? *silhouette shrugs* seems to me thats our key. explains why it comes naturally to me, despite not being from a world they exist. same for my twin entities.

@SilhouetteOfRot Amygdala and hypothalamus, parts of the limbic system. [Bolt gestures to that same area, nodding to himself.] Emotional centre of the brain, basically. Thinking and feeling lit up like a Christmas tree right as the energy spiked and you left. I... think, anyways. Been a while.

@Boltsicle *he grabs a roll of tape and wraps some around his finger.* this bit is the pain receptors but what about… *he points at a splotch with his fucked up finger*

@SilhouetteOfRot [Bolt doesn't believe that, but doesn't push it either, and instead just leaves the vial out in the open. In case he changes his mind.] If you're sure. [He turns his attention back to the screens, pointing at areas lit up red.] A lot of sudden activity right before you left...

@Boltsicle *silhouette hesitates but waves the vial away.* no magic, im… ill be fine. thank you.

@SilhouetteOfRot [Bolt nods, the data is right there, but his priority is elsewhere, carefully approaching Silhouette with the vial.] Apply this to the damaged site, and it'll heal in an instant. [Realising that sounds insane, he clarifies.] Phoenix tears have incredible healing properties.

@Boltsicle *silhouette reappears and drops the emerald, holding his own hand tightly* GAIA ALMIGHTY- *he breathes, holding in a scream* OKAY. wow. got the uhh… got the data..?

@SilhouetteOfRot [Bolt winces, letting Archer analyse the data while he searches a cabinet for a small vial of a clear liquid, twirling it between his fingers.] [He'd be a hypocrite to judge, so he'll just help instead. And make sure nobody is dying, turning back to check the readings.]

@Boltsicle *it doesnt even take a second for the emerald to propel itself up to the top of the machine, sparks and electricity crackling through the machine. silhouette, the stubborn bastard, refused to let go of the gem in his hands and ended up with a crushed finger. he teleports away.*

@SilhouetteOfRot [Bolt's form of "cover" is standing at a distance, and pulling his heart-shaped glasses over his eyes. As though that fixes anything. But he knows he'll be fine, so it's all probably okay.] Got it! [The machine activates in Archer's control, slow and loud.]

@Boltsicle having the emerald in there is gonna be stupid and dangerous as well… i can always grab it and get out of there myself, but potential radiation output could be greater than nearly anything either of us have seen… you should take cover… *silhouette laus on the machine.*

@SilhouetteOfRot [Bolt figures out the rest, setting the emerald down as he nods once, calling up to the ceiling.] Archie, can you prep the-? [He's cut off by Archer, a simple "already done, I can hear you two as you're planning."] Oh, right! In that case, anything metal comes off, scan time?

@Boltsicle im thinking we put me in, get it running, and i teleport out of there. scan brain activity in the meantime, figure out how im using it, and that leads to… *he takes a sip of his now cold coffee*

@SilhouetteOfRot Uhh... Yeah! [Bolt glances around, knowing it's here somewhere in the lab, taking a moment to spot it, off in a corner, forgotten and never used.] There it is. What're you thinking?

@SilhouetteOfRot Uh, yeah, I'll try! [Bolt takes the emerald, staring at it as though it'll answer his questions on how this works for a moment. He should be better at this, he's done it before, but apparently not.] Uhm... [There's just a pathetic, golden spark that fizzles out. Birdfailure.]
