First shift as Assistant Chief Constable with @cambsconstab @CambsRoblox. Bit eventful.

The Team suffered two losses last night. Following an unprecedented situation and a massive exchange of gunfire the Constabulary lost PC Garrick and PC Lloyd with another PC in critical condition who will remain unnamed. The rest stayed in the fight eliminating the threat.

These are the new firearm vests that will be used in Foxton which is coming soon.

It has been a busy few days for the Firearms Unit, daily challenges and incidents have kept us well occupied. @cambsconstab 's finest is always ready 24/7 to respond to the most dangerous of situations as well as to liaise with the community.

So the F in my personal collar number is for this reason, today I was deemed fully qualified to be a firearms officer within Cambridgeshire Constabulary's Tactical Firearms Unit. Only had one shift with them so far but it has been brilliant. #F482

Sometimes we need to deploy our firearms as a matter of public safety. We are trained to deal with any threat according to Home Office and College of Policing guidelines and are fully trained to handle any threat. Here is us responding to a male possible armed. @cambsconstab

Todays shift was a interesting one, whilst laying out a cordon I was shot at by a suspect who somehow fled a scene, luckily thanks to my colleague I managed to take cover before I was seriously hurt luckily both of us were saved by the TFU lads. #C482
