Excited to present new work on teacher training & critical lang awareness @ the 11th NSSHL in TX! In my talk, I’ll discuss the tools & strategies implemented in 1 of my MAT courses to challenge the pre-existing beliefs & harmful ling ideologies of pre/in-service lang teachers!

As professors, we often hear pre/in-service teachers express their frustration about how difficult it is to bring innovation to curricula that leave very little room for change. The aim of this discussion is to show that innovation in K-12 lang teaching is indeed possible [2/3]
