i’ve been thinking of what could even be said about such a tragedy. someone said it best that trans people are “born so late and die so young”. we uproot our lives and transition and live more life than anyone else ever does and society punishes us for it. we deserve better

According to the King County Medical Examiner’s office report this afternoon: 19-year-old Juniper Blessing has been identified as the victim of the stabbing. A memorial for the student, who is transgender, has been growing in UW’s Red Square this week. @komonews

ppl who have the “if I die I die” attitude around Covid or hantavirus often fail to imagine (or have intentionally forgotten) the intense suffering you can endure that is NOT death. an n95 mask is way less inconvenient than a ventilator, being bed bound, cancer, seizures, etc
