Is the outrage over Spygate understandable? An act of crass stupidity, I’ll grant you. But this is less Philby and Burgess and more Laurel and Hardy. Some hapless intern is sent to film from 400M on his smart phone the Middlesbrough team kicking footballs. What searing insights would the Southampton side have got? ‘Ok boss they’re kicking the ball with both their left and right feet. Sometimes they’re heading it.’ It’s all so silly. @lillmatty90 I think most boro fans don't particularly want to replace saints in the final if they are kicked out. I don't.
If its happened just once against boro then I think a large compensation to us will happen. If several times then expel them and hull go straight up. No complaints

Clubs know the rules and the risks. They would not delegate this to a trainee. Fits with the rumours when the story first broke. Not worried!

Always the case that supporters are biggest losers in these situations, starting with anger at the fact it happened at all.
Then are dragged into national circus, and a wait for solid news. Soured what should be a euphoric week, fans let down.

Would stress suggestion of moving the final date is a very last resort. At this stage, it would have to be considered extremely unlikely, but it can't be ruled out depending on the independent panel. Expecting a meeting of said panel in the next 24 hours or so. #hcafc

Brilliant day for everything boro today. Outside the ground was amazing and something I've never witnessed before from boro fans.

Is it just me that isn't arsed about the spygate story? Should just add extra motivation to the boro to beat saints over 2 legs, which we are more than good enough to do. I don't want to rely on excuses if not, saints have just made themselves look silly. Come on boro! #boro

@InspGadgetBlogs The incident in 2008 he also assaulted 3 other officers trying to arrest him. He was high on khet and was tasered 3 times with no effect. It was a shocking day and his sentence was a complete joke
