Here’s the strategy I see:
dump price on low volume right before open to get both a low opening number and create panic selling + delta hedge selling pressure right as market opens.
It’s an easy way to create a ton of pressure by exploiting lower liquidity windows. Now if someone wants to buy in, they have a ton of liquidity from the sell pressure to get in low.

he wasn't dragged onto the call, so i imagine he wanted to be there.
seems like he was generally not pleased with that part because the tone shifted later.
